I love photographing families and so many family photos aren’t complete without some pet photography! Today’s subject is the adorable Zeb who is a SAFE (Saving Animals from Euthanasia) foster-fail who belongs to Emma who together with Rosy runs SAFE for Newman, Western Australia. SAFE is a very special organisation who saves thousands of innocent, re-homeable animals from euthanasia. Emma has so many animals rotating through her home, animals who often haven’t known unconditional love before and that’s what they find there and in all the other foster homes until they are ready for their fur-ever home, or until their fur-ever home is ready for them. With so many animals visiting for short (or sometimes long) stays it is easy to get attached but Emma had managed to resist foster-failing a dog until Zeb came along. This gorgeous guy has made himself a very important part of the family.

I too have foster failed a dog, my gorgeous Pilbara special Beau and at the end of last year Emma had me photograph some kittens. Ahsoka was a beautifully photogenic little kitten who made herself at home permanently, usually in front of my camera any chance she gets! These two have fit in with our other animals and have enriched our lives so much. Knowing that SAFE has literally saved their lives makes us so grateful for everything they do.

If you’re interested in adopting a dog or cat or even fostering for SAFE check out their facebook page here or their webpage here.

Thank you to Emma and her family for sharing the gorgeous Zeb for this photo session.
